Kalplats (Kalahari Platinum Project)

  • Location: Kraaipan Greenstone Belt, North West Province, South Africa.
  • Ownership: Stratex Resources holds 100%.
  • Resource Estimate: Historical inferred resource of 137.4 million tonnes at 1.53 g/t 3E (platinum, palladium, and gold), totalling approximately 6.7 million ounces.
  • Disposition: In 2025, African Thunder Platinum agreed to sell its controlling interest in Kalplats to Stratex Resources, a Mauritian-based exploration company.
  • Leadership: In August 2025, Brett A. Richards, a mining executive with over 38 years of experience, was appointed CEO to advance Stratex Resources mining projects and explore strategic acquisitions.
